Community Fundraising Volunteering Officer, an excellent opportunity to join a fantastic Children’s Charity at a very exciting time of investment and growth across Mass Fundraising.
- Location: Remote working. Based anywhere in the UK. The ability to occasionally travel to H/O in Reading.
- Salary: £30,070 per annum + benefits
This Community Fundraising Volunteering Officer role is a newly created role due to the investment and growth across mass fundraising.
You will join the Community and Volunteer team, work closely with the Volunteering Manager, and will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of new and existing fundraising volunteering programmes, increasing participation and enhancing volunteer’s experiences. You will also support with the long-term planning of the volunteer fundraising programme.
**As the Community Fundraising Volunteering Officer, your key responsibilities will be to**:
- Coordinate the delivery and support the development of all volunteer-led fundraising and volunteering projects.
- Recruit, support, steward and develop fundraising volunteers and fundraising volunteer groups, enabling them to inspire and engage their local communities to generate income.
- Coordinate new and existing volunteer projects, enhancing the quality of the volunteer experience and meeting income targets.
- Responsible for researching and developing fundraising volunteering opportunities in communities across the UK, communicating these opportunities with the volunteers.
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, ensuring excellent volunteer stewardship and delivery, working with the Community Team to maximise volunteer-led income.
- Coordinate resources, tools and products for fundraising volunteers, responding to localised needs of current communities across the UK.
- Lead on the planning and promotion of fundraising volunteering programme.
- Assess and identify training and development needs of fundraising volunteers, and work with the Volunteer L&D Co-ordinator to organise training.
**To be successful in this role you will have prior experience and knowledge of**:
- Working within a similar volunteer stewardship and community fundraising role, with the experience of volunteer recruitment and stewardship.
- Experience of working towards financial targets and KPI’s. With a proven track record in achieving financial and non-financial targets in a community/fundraising capacity.
- Experience with stakeholder management, relationship building and communication skills, with the skills to persuade, motivate and inspire external audiences.
- Also, strong working knowledge of: Charity Law, Volunteering rights, Data Protection Law and GDPR, The Fundraising Code of Practice, Gift Aid and other fundraising standards across the UK
