Matron

Maidstone, United Kingdom Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust Full time

We are looking for a Matron to join our well-established Trauma and Orthopaedic team at MTW.

Trauma and Orthopaedics at MTW currently has two inpatient trauma wards on the Tunbridge Wells site and an inpatient and day case orthopaedic unit offering elective surgery on the Maidstone site.

In addition, we have a Trauma Team that operates a Same Day Emergency Care Unit treating and discharging patients quickly and effectively, or managing patients through a Virtual Ward Model at home whilst they await surgery or other management of injuries.

We will expand the elective service next year with the Kent and Medway Orthopaedic Centre. The purpose-built unit is due to be built over the next year and by early 2024 MTW will offer orthopaedic services to patients from across the whole Kent and Medway area

The post holder will be expected to ensure delivery of safe and high quality care in line with the Trust's PRIDE values. You will also support, motivate and empower our nursing team to enable them to reach their full potential.

This post will require you to work closely and establish excellent working relationships with the Therapy Team, Deputy General Managers, General Manager, Lead Matron, clinicians at all levels and other professionals within the directorate, division and across the MTW sites.
