Dementia Activities Assistant

**Job Scope**:
We are looking to recruit a Dementia Activities Assistant to join our team. In this role, the Dementia Activities Assistant will contribute to the enhancement of the quality of life for individuals with dementia by researching and designing innovative activities.
This full-time position involves delivering cognitive, emotional, and socially enriching programs across our resources and services, including physical exercise and creativity sessions. The role of Dementia Activities Assistant extends to training staff and volunteers in the latest dementia and cognitive decline developments, ensuring consistency in our approach.
As a Dementia Activities Assistant, you'll play a key role in facilitating both in person and virtual activities, working collaboratively with programming teams for continuous improvement. As a Dementia Activities Assistant, your commitment to safety, dignity, and respect for all participants is integral to our community-focused services. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required, as the position involves traveling across our resources.

**Do you have?**
- Experience of delivering activities in a similar social care environment
- Proficient in delivering engaging cognitive and stimulating activities, including physical exercise and creativity, to members living with dementia.
- Demonstrated ability to work across organizational resources and services, sharing best practices and training staff and volunteers in the field of dementia and cognitive decline.
- Skilled in facilitating sessions within Centers, serving as a role model and demonstrating impactful program delivery.
- Proficient in supporting program evaluation and making necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
- Committed to ensuring the safety, dignity, and respect of all participants in the programs.
