**Oldham (Hybrid working following initial training period)**
Due to their ever-expanding growth our client, a supplier of beautiful home têxtiles now has an excellent opportunity for an Import Merchandiser to join their fast paced team
They are looking for someone with experience in PO management, logistics, supply chain practices within a retail or wholesale environment.
**Responsibilities**
- Manage Purchase Order process from placement to delivery
- Co-ordinate with key functions involved in PO process, including Shipping, Finance and Operations
- Monitor Supplier performance to lead time and report to business
- Review weekly Factory shipment reports and escalate concerns / risk
- Maintain accurate PO data within ERP
- Responsible for shipment approvals in conjunction with Category Merchandiser
- Manage Air Freight requirements as necessary
- Review and update data from Factory Packing Lists post shipment
- Alongside Category Merchandiser, prepare buys for new season
- Attend virtual calls with in-country teams to raise any concerns
- Create/maintain excel based open order reports
**Requirements**:
- Understanding of supply chain practices
- Experience working with Far East factories
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage changing priorities
- Work under own initiative
- Ability to communicate to different levels in the organisation
- Good Excel skills
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
