**About The Role**:
Do you have the experience and drive to ensure that in Warwickshire we deliver the best possible outcomes for our children and young people?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed Term term post for a Volunteer Lead, Health and Wellbeing Engagement Practitioner at our Warwickshire Young People’s service.

The role will involve presenting and educating CYP in the areas of drug and alcohol harm reduction and supporting young people to engage in substance misuse support. The role will also look at recruiting volunteers and support the running of a Child and Young Persons forum to run monthly.

Working hours will be Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week, which will include at least one evening per week and Saturdays on a monthly rota.

**About You**:
The post holder will work on an outreach basis across the area including visiting schools, universities, other educational settings, working with the health partnerships, Police, the Children and Families service, YOT, Hospital as well as other agencies.

Holding a relevant qualification in substance misuse/youth work/psychology/counselling/ mental health/social care, you will also:

- Have experience of working with at risk/vulnerable young people in a community setting
- Supporting volunteers
- Be able to deliver behaviour change support, including group work
- Running CYP or other service user forums
- Be knowledgeable about: safeguarding children, confidentiality, consent and mental capacity and Hidden Harm
- Adopt a flexible approach to work - hours and locations

Compass is the sole provider of substance misuse treatment for young people in the Warwickshire. The service is set up to provide and deliver all elements of the treatment system.

The service has been providing structured and targeted interventions to young people engaging in or at risk of substance misuse.
