**This role is within the People Function** which is responsible for supporting our people and ensuring we create a culture and environment to enable the Society’s objectives of building a stronger, kinder and greener society, Nationwide.

As a Continuous Improvement Specialist within People Services for this 12 month contract you’ll support the knowledge growth and capability of our teams enabling us to continually evolve, modernise and provide more complex people support across the Society.

You’ll contribute to the planning, continuous improvement, and evaluation of services in the People Services teams, to support the simplification of employee interactions with the People Function. In doing so, you’ll contribute towards the achievement of target outcomes, for example, ensuring that the operation is both efficient and effective in its practices. You’ll work alongside a team of Service Design & Improvement Architects, Process Improvement Specialists and Coordinators.

Your success isn’t based on how long you spend at your desk. You’ll have contracted hours, but we’re always happy to support flexible working wherever we can. That might mean working from home or different Nationwide offices or agreeing a working pattern to help you balance work and life. We will always strive to find a way that works for everyone. There is an expectation to attend your local office whether Northampton or Swindon 40% of the week.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Identify, deliver and maintain continuous improvement activity in line with the employee lifecycle and system release roadmaps.
- Actively input into ‘new world’ service design activity. Have the ability to take ideas and operationalise them effectively.
- Interpret management information and user feedback to underlying business issues / trends to design and implement solutions that improve the overall service offering.
- Providing appropriate training and knowledge transfer for People Service teams based on continuous improvement initiates.

This role is full of variety and no two days are the same

**About you**:

- Extensive experience of Continuous Improvement ideally within HR.
- An understanding of the role played by associate technologies (Cloud, Digital Assistant and Helpdesk Knowledge Platform) in the presentation of HR information and advice.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills and ability to manage multiple competing project priorities and deliverables.
- A creative mindset and passion to innovate.
- Experience engaging stakeholders at different levels (up to an including Director level).
- Willingness to challenge assumptions, the status quo, with experience of successfully influencing Senior Managers and facilitating joint decision-making.
- The ability to collaborate be agile, bold and act with pace.
