**Job Purpose**

This is a fantastic entry or early career opportunity for a college or university leaver with an analytical brain, whose education has included data analysis.

Based in a team of 11, the Data Quality Officer will be trained to play an integral role working with the Data Quality Manager and Data Quality Lead to improve the Banks client data quality. In this varied role in a friendly and supportive team, you will be responsible for ensuring data is consistent across the Banks core systems and that the data held meets the relevant standards and is suitable for reporting purposes, including regulatory reports. You will undertake regular reviews of existing data held, actively searching for missing information to ensure that client data is complete, accurate and valid. The role will collaborate with the Client Data team and Front Office to ensure all client information is in a consistent and standardised format.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Undertake regular data quality BAU processes for systems holding client data to ensure that information held is complete, accurate, consistent, and valid.
- Identify issues and gaps by undertaking root cause analysis, then engage with Relationship Managers or relevant operations team to remediate issues.
- Complete data cleansing activities by locating missing information from client records using our internal document management system or approved external resources and instructing amendments.
- Ensure that data required for regulatory reporting is complete, accurate and valid and in line with the relevant schema.
- Monitor the Data Quality Dashboard and take the necessary action to resolve issues whilst producing data quality MI, to be presented at relevant forums and committees.
- Support the Data Quality Manager and Data Quality Lead by monitoring compliance to defined data quality policies and standards, ensuring they have been adopted by the business.
- Have ownership of the data quality issues log, actioning, triaging, and resolving all reported data quality issues, ensuring all activities are carried out within agreed timescales and producing MI.
- Have ownership of all key stroke processes for data quality reports, creating and publishing, ensuring they are kept up to date.
