We are looking to recruit a Play Lead to work across our Community and Adventure play sites in north Kensington and Chelsea.

Play Leads are responsible for the day-to-day management of the health and safety of the play sites and delivery of a fun and engaging programme of activities for children and young people aged 5(in year 1) -15years

Working alongside our Children's Development Lead and Community Development Assistant, you will contribute to the planning and delivery of a broad programme of developmental play opportunities including sports, games, arts, crafts, and projects to supplement free play opportunities. Putting children at the centre of the process, advocating for children and young people’s right to play and promotion of open access play spaces.

QUALIFICATIONS Ideally qualified to:
NVQ Qualification in Play Work Level 2 or 3

Cache Play Work Qualification at Level 2 or 3

Youth and Community Work Qualification Level 2 or 3

Children and Young People’s Workforce Level 2 or 3

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Knowledge

Experience of working in an adventure playground setting

Knowledge of health and safety and Child protection procedures

An understanding of working with children and young people particularly in an urban, multi - cultural community

Experience of contributing and delivering a balanced programme of activities for children/young people aged 5-15 years
