We're delighted to be recruiting for a corporate company as they look to appoint an in house Travel Co-ordinator on an initial 6 month contract basis. We're keen to find them someone who understands the world of corporate travel - either a previous Business Travel Consultant or Travel Co-ordinator who has worked closely with Travel Management Companies in co-ordinating the travel needs of the business.
You'll be working as part of a small team in an office based in London (Westminster) for a business with around 500 employees. Of course you'll need to be super organised and efficient
- it will be your responsibility to liaise with the appointed Travel ManagementCompany and ensure all travel is booked correctly and cost effectively. You'll know the movements of all staff within the business as they travel the world, using your methodical style to work through all requirements.
As a Travel Co-ordinator your days will be kept busy with:

- Understanding the travel needs of the business, discussing options with your Travel Management Company and deciding upon the best options for flights and hotels worldwide
- Booking car hire/transfers/other travel ancillaries that may be needed
- Being a support "on the ground" for those employees travelling between the hours of 7am and 7pm in case of disruption
- Ensuring that all travel is done in the most sustainable way - identifying ways in which costs can be trimmed down and carbon footprint reduced
- Completing visa related requirements and assessing travel risk
- Completing all administrative tasks related to role
- Liaising with stakeholders across all levels of the business
- Building strong relationships with travel suppliers

There is shift work involved in this position, earliest shift starts at 7am and the latest will finish at 7pm, and the working days are Monday-Friday. You will need to be fully office based for the first few settling in weeks and then the option to work 2 daysfrom home will be on offer.
We're looking for someone with excellent geographical knowledge, a logical working style, IT literate (Microsoft Word/Excel) and a love of organisation and admin. There is a possibility this position may be offered permanently after the 6 months.
