Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm | Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week | 1/2 hour for lunch
Location: Leeds/Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Regular visits to Head Office in Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Our comprehensive waste management services include skip hire, wheelie bin hire, tipper hire, trade waste disposal, tipping and recycling, confidential and secure document shredding, legal disposal of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment recycling (WEEE), scrap metal purchase, recycled aggregates, primary aggregates, top soils, sands and gravels.

**Position overview**

As a result of continued growth, KCM Waste Management seek to appoint a Sales Representative to serve West and South Yorkshire, offering waste management solutions to commercial customers.

This position will see you working closely with all departments, to drive sales and identify new commercial opportunities. You will communicate with both new and existing customers, being informative and understanding of their requirements.

You will be capable of identifying and developing new business opportunities in order to attain your sales targets. Within this role, you will also be required to generate reports detailing new business, growth organically and from new business.

Excellent organisational skills and a good work ethic are essential to the role, along with the ability to work within a team and communicate to a range of commercial customers.

Waste industry experience is desirable, but not mandatory. The company offers a full training programme and support to help new team members grow and reach their full potential.

**Duties include**
- Selling to new clients in greenfield area’s this will require motivation, and ability to handle objections
- Selling on contract a comprehensive range of waste disposal solutions to commercial customers
- Cold calling, generating new business leads, building a strong regional pipeline, and knowledge of your allocated area
- Develop and demonstrate commercial awareness
- Manage workload effectively to deliver agreed targeted sales
- Provide an outstanding level of customer service
- Attending commercial exhibitions, business expo’s, networking events to further promote the business

**Experience and key skills required**
- Previous experience within the waste management sector desirable
- Be able to demonstrate good communication skills at stakeholder level
- Comfortable with cold calling, making own appointments and managing time effectively
- Self-motivated, able to demonstrate in previous roles target achievement
- Fluent in both spoken and written English
- IT literate, must have good understanding of excel spreadsheets, Word etc;
- Professional telephone manner
- Full UK driving licence
