PART TIME MEDICAL DATA ENTRY CLERK 17 hours + COVER
An excellent opportunity to work in a very friendly, busy GP Practice serving over 16,600 patients. We are currently looking to further recruit another member to our medical data entry team. We are looking for a can-do approach, hard-working and motivated individual. Concentration and accuracy are vitally important, so a keen eye and attention to detail is key. There is little patient contact, however we do expect all our staff to be caring, considerate and empathetic in their approach to their work.

Hours:
Thursday 08:30 - 13:30 / 14:30 - 17: 30 (8.5 hrs)

It is absolutely essential that all Elms staff have the flexibility for planned and short notice cover for holidays and sickness. The post includes membership of the NHS pension scheme. Interview date from first week of June

Practice Manager
Overview of role
Coding and summarising of clinical patient data, letters and reports from various sources into patients records in accordance with BMA Good Practice Guidelines for electronic records
Ensuring letters from external sources are allocated to the correct files and checking of data to ensure accuracy
Good communication required with both external and internal Departments
Ensure the clinical computer system (EMIS) is kept up to date with accurate details recorded
Ensure accurate completion of all necessary documentation associated with patient health care and in a timely way
Ensure collection and maintenance of statistical information required for regular and ad hoc reports and auditing
Regular update and awareness of SNOMED coding changes.
Awareness of GP contract requirements e.g. Quality Outcome Framework (QOF) and local Enhanced services

Part-time hours: 17 per week
