This role is a full time permanent role working 40h a week.

Veterinary Vision offers a dedicated ophthalmology referral service for cases referred throughout the UK, with four sites in Lancashire, Penrith, Sunderland and Glasgow. We are equipped with state-of-the-art operating facilities for all types of ocular surgery in a friendly, caring environment where the well-being of the patient is our top priority.

The role will involve assisting the clinical team during consultations, looking after hospitalised inpatients, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment at all times, and reception/administration duties.

You will ideally have experience working with animals in a veterinary surgery but this is not essential as training will be provided.

Administrative duties include:

- Ensuring all veterinary reports, referral letters and discharge instructions are typed, checked, distributed, and attached to patient records in a timely and efficient manner
- Processing insurance claims
- Providing administrative support to our vets, reception team and wider organisation.
- Booking of appointments and surgical procedures for our clients
- Assisting with general reception and admin duties as required
- Answering the telephone to assist clients with any enquiries or queries.
