We are looking for an experienced and motivated administrator to coordinate the Midland Centre for Spinal Injuries (MCSI) Goal Planning System. Our patients with spinal injuries have regular Goal Planning meetings, with the MDT, throughout their admission. We are looking for someone who is able to organise these meetings, and support with producing documentation of what has been agreed. They would need a good level of IT skills and be able to input and access data on various databases and NHS systems. This person will need excellent people skills and needs to be confident working with a large team of healthcare professionals as well as being in regular contact with patients and relatives.

The post holder would also support the organisation of other MDT interventions, such as group education sessions for patients and relatives and provide administrative support to the Clinical Psychology Team.
1. Goal Planning Coordinator - taking the lead in the organisation of the MCSI Goal Planning System for all rehabilitation patients with spinal injuries. This includes organising timetables, attending patient meetings with the MDT, documenting patient goals, communicating with team, patient and relatives about meetings and inputting data onto the National Database. It also includes overseeing keyworker allocation for each patient and scoring the Needs Assessment Checklist following completion by the keyworker.
2. Supporting the running of other MDT interventions, such as group education sessions for patients and/or relatives.
3. Providing administrative support to the MCSI Clinical Psychology Team.

Coordinating Goal Planning
1. To organise the weekly time table for Goal Planning Meetings.
2. To sit in on Goal Planning Meetings and direct the team to attend appropriately and keep to the allocated time.
3. To support the team with typing up Goal Sheets as agreed in the meeting and forward this to the keyworker to be checked and agreed, before uploading the sheet to the patient’s EPR.
4. To keep an up to date list of agreed keyworkers and support the team to ensure that each patient has an allocated keyworker.
5. To provide keyworkers with a copy of the Needs Assessment Checklist for completion prior to the first and the last Goal Planning Meeting and information leaflets to be shared with the patient.
6. To score the completed Needs Assessment Checklist and input data into the database and produce a summary with graph for the team and patient for first and final goal planning meetings.
7. To support the Clinical Psychology Team with data summaries and analysis from the Needs Assessment Checklist
1. To record the discharge dates set for each patient within the Goal Planning Meeting and keep appropriate people on the team informed with regards to these dates.
2. To record SCIM data at the first and final goal planning meetings and put this data into the patients EPR as well as onto the National Database.
3. To source and enter information onto the National Database, as required. This will include information such as date of mobilisation, level of injury, SCIM scores etc.
4. When required to collect data from Goal Planning Meetings for audit purposes.

Group Educational Sessions

To support the Multi-disciplinary Team with the organisation of various Group Educational Sessions as required. This will involve the following:
1. 1. To be responsible for booking an appropriate venue for sessions.
2. To organise the programme with appropriate members of the team who will be presenting.
3. To correspond with external speakers (past patients, spinal injury charities, other experts etc).
