Here at** Derian House Children’s Hospice, **we have an exciting opportunity available for a **Child &** **Family Advocate and Engagement Lead** to join our team based in **Chorley. **This can be a full or part time position. Full time hours 37.5 over 5 days. Part time hours will be considered. Flexible working pattern required to include evenings and weekends when required. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of **£30,000 to £33,000 per annum **depending on experience, Pro-rata for part time.

**Derian House Children’s Hospice** is proud to have been providing high-quality care to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions for the last 30 years.

The Derian House care team provides symptom management, palliative and end-of-life care, as well as short break respite care to children, young people and their families across Lancashire, South Cumbria and Greater Manchester. Supported by our dedicated community team, family support team, neonatal services and young people’s services we are able to provide a wide range of support and care in a variety of settings.

**About the Child & Family Advocate and Engagement Lead role**:
The new post is crucial in ensuring that we put children and family’s views, wishes and feedback right at the heart of all decision making. The post holder will ensure that service users are meaningfully engaged, consulted and have opportunities to be involved in co-design of services. Working autonomously across the organisation, the post will be hold departments and staff to account in ensuring that we do “with” and not “to”. Reporting to the Director of Engagement for day-to-day activity, the role will report directly into the Quality, Safety and Improvement sub-committee and will develop an implementation plan aligned with our Family Engagement Strategy.
