**Job Title: Business Development Manager**
**Location**:Remote, Flexible UK/Europe
Are you a commercially focused procurement and business development professional looking for a strategic next role? This is a great opportunity to join our UK Dairy Business and drive commercial opportunities across the fast paced world of co-products in theagri-supply industry.In this role you will be an integral part of the senior commercial team, implementing the UK Dairy co-product development strategy to procure more products and therefore increase market share and contribute to the achievement of thebusiness strategy. You will be responsible for increasing the volume of products available through strategic contract growth and retention, fostering cross functional collaboration to contribute to the achievement of the business vision, mission and strategy.Weare looking for a proven professional with a strong understanding of the food and drinks industry that understands the challenges faced in the raw materials market. Who is able to think outside of the box and offer new ways to partner with customers and suppliersto make business as efficient and productive as possible. The tender process will be a critical part of this role alongside stakeholder engagement and management, with the ability to build effective relationships and networks internally and externally.
**What you'll be doing:**
- Identify and evaluate prospect opportunities and manage the tender process
- Identify and assess external joint venture, partnership and acquisition opportunities, developing a business case for such opportunities and garner buy-in for investment from key internal stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver competitive tender processes in respect of selected prospect opportunities, ensuring that all trading controls are adhered to.
- Develop and maintain strong third-party supplier relationships and work in liaison with internal teams to ensure value is continuously added to existing contracts.
- Ensure internal stakeholders are clear on the co-product procurement strategy, including decisions on pricing, ambitions for growth, financial risk and tactics to manage risk, status of existing contracts and resource requirement to meet growth targets.
Whilst this role is currently a UK focused position, the role is likely to evolve into a more global opportunity in the future and will offer a great career path with the opportunity to develop and drive positive change and value.
**What you'll bring:**
- Demonstrated track record in business development and procurement, including capitalising existing contracts and securing new opportunities.
- Solid understanding of opportunities for growth and development within the food, drink and biofuel industries.
- Experience in successfully building new strategic partnerships with third parties.
- Proven experience of negotiating agreements and delivering project plans.
- Ability to build and nurture senior commercial relationships and present at seminars and other industry networking events
