**The Post**
You will be based within the Timetabling Exams and Graduation team as part of the wider Student & Faculty Operations grouping which brings together faculty-based professional services teams and Student Administration.

You will provide administrative support delivering a range of tasks relating to the administration of activities across examination, graduation, academic transcripts and teaching timetable delivering an excellent student experience.

You will demonstrate strong communication, organisational and administrative skills and support the day-to-day running of the team. An interest in supporting the student community is essential, as is the ability to work flexibly as part of a team and to prioritise responsibilities within a busy working environment.

You will work closely with colleagues across Student Administration as well as others within faculties and central professional services teams including, Student Support Services, Accessibility & Inclusion, Academic Registry and Commercial Services.

**Special Conditions**
Annual leave may be restricted during peak workload periods. Examples include graduation ceremony weeks and formal examination periods.

**Description of Duties**
- Support the Student Administration Officers to review and update invigilator handbooks, student examination guides and graduation information to ensure accuracy
- Support the process for the issuing of all replacement degree certificates purchased via the University online shop ensuring orders are processed within service level agreements
- Processing graduation and University online shop refunds in accordance with Finance Policy
- Support with the organisation and supply of all the necessary stationery and materials related to the smooth running of the University exams
- Acting as an invigilator for University exams in accordance with University regulations and procedures
- To maintain core examination data on the University’s student record system including the recording of non-attendance at exams
- Provide support for the processing of ad hoc room booking requests via the timetabling system
- Assisting senior colleagues with data cleansing activities and data management on the University timetabling and University student management system
- Liaising with graduands who require alternative seating arrangements at graduation and identifying solutions to support their full participation at the event
- Liaising with Faculties and the Students’ Union at key points in the academic cycle to create central record of non-academic achievements for inclusion on academic transcripts
- To carry out high volume transactions such as the production and issuing of student transcripts and the issuing of degree certificates and award documents ensuring that quality is maintained
- Manage the issuing of award documentation following the conclusion of graduation ceremonies
- Contribute to the ongoing development of business processes, procedures and working practices within the team to support continuous improvement and optimum efficiency
- Undertake any other duties and responsibilities, commensurate with the grade of the post, as directed by line manager

**Essential Criteria** Qualifications**
- Educated to a minimum of HNC/HND level, or equivalent professional experience

**Knowledge & Experience***
- Proven experience working in a busy, customer focused administrative environment
