Head of Reward Partnering

Edinburgh, United Kingdom NatWest Group Full time

Our people work differently depending on their jobs and needs. From hybrid working to flexible hours, we have plenty of options that help our people to thrive.

This role is based in the United Kingdom and as such all normal working days must be carried out in the United Kingdom.

Join us as our Head of Reward Partnering
- Are you an aspiring HR leader looking to use your expertise to support the work of a team of reward partners? If so, you’ll thrive as our Head of Reward Partnering
- We want our people to feel supported, which is why you’ll shape our Reward & Employment strategy and its policies through a competitive approach to our reward system
- You’ll be key to helping us deliver a HR reward strategy that can achieve our ambitions and can champion the potential of our greatest asset of all - our people

**What you’ll do**:
HR plays an important part of our organisation in creating a work environment that’s supportive, rewarding and enjoyable for all colleagues. As AI and more technology enters the workplace, the importance of having a HR strategy that empowers our people to be their best, and do our best by them, is greater than ever.

As the Head of Reward Partnering, and an important member of our Reward & Employment leadership team, you’ll be a trusted adviser to an aligned business and manage a team of reward partners to deliver a competitive and sustainable reward offering that empowers our people to achieve their potential - not just at work, but across all aspects of their lives too.

Your top priorities will include:

- Advising on appropriate reward constructs, our annual pay review and bonus process, remuneration design, policy guidance and reward benchmarking
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of reward partners in the UK and India to provide expert support, technical advice and frameworks for volume compensation constructs
- Designing frameworks and compensation constructs, responding to regulatory changes, business strategies and cost management
- Managing relationships with senior stakeholders, including subsidiary renumeration committees, from your aligned business while being their main point of contact

**The skills you’ll need**:
It’s our people that make up the strength of our organisation. So, as a key adviser to our senior leaders, you’ll need to have a background of leading professional teams and experience of the banking industry and the regulatory and commercial environment.

As well as this, you’ll have knowledge of compensation, regulatory reward and governance practices, including those that relate to executive compensation, to make sure that our people are rewarded in the best ways possible to thank them for their hard work.

You’ll also need:

- Knowledge of HR theories, models and best practices
- An understanding of relevant legal policies, regulations and risk management
- Experience of operational and financial planning
