Bank Specialist Camhs Practitioner

The post holder will have the ability to assess young people who present with complex needs and/or a high level of distress. (significant mental health / disorder needs) S/he will provide specialist assessments related to mental health disorders or other serious and complex presentations and make clinical formulations on which to recommend a treatment intervention. S/he will design, deliver and review care plans with children, young people and their families and in accordance with NHS and professional standards The post holder will provide standard mental state, risk and systemic assessment of children and young people referred to the service including reports for referrers or other professionals and agencies if required. The post holder will have the experience and skills required to interpret presentations of distress and crisis by children and young people and provide appropriate treatment decisions and interventions.
The post holder will be able to demonstrate the capacity to make confident and containing decisions The post holder will have knowledge and experience of safeguarding practice and procedures To post holder will have the knowledge and skills to provide clinical advice, consultation and recommendations to other professionals
