We are looking for an experienced, organised, efficient and enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join our busy school office at Tweeddale Primary School and become an integral member of the Tweeddale team.

Main responsibilities:

- To ensure the website is kept up to date in all areas (including all statutory information for schools).
- To create and send messages to parents/carers using Bromcom.
- To deal with enquiries from parents and members of the public.
- To take phone calls, deal with queries and ensure accurate messages are taken and passed on in a timely manner.
- To maintain the Single Central Record for all visitors and contractors, checking DBS certificates and ID as appropriate.
- To administer first aid, ensuring that all accidents and incidents are recorded properly.
- To assist in the promotion of the school through sensitive dealings with children, parents, carers, visitors and in carrying out day to day work.

You will need:

- To have an excellent knowledge of IT systems including MS Office and Google.
- To have experience of working in a busy office environment and in developing administrative systems to aid procedures.
- To have strong attention to detail and to maintain accurate and reliable information.
- To be well organised and able to prioritise conflicting demands in own workload.
- To have excellent inter-personal skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide audience both verbally and in writing.
- To be willing to undertake duties relating to the care and welfare of distressed or sick children.
- To provide high quality administrative support, including fast and accurate typing skills.
