**Genetic Analysis Sales Representative, South West England - Remote / Field**

- The role of a Genetic Analysis Sales Representative within our Genetic Analysis Sales Organization involves consultation and the sale of best in class Life Sciences products in accordance with approved sales and marketing plans._
- The portfolio comprises 3 main product lines; Capillary/CE sequencing, Real-time PCR / qPCR, Digital PCR and Micro arrays providing an unrivalled and unique portfolio in the genomics space._
- You will work with a large variety of non-clinical customers in research environments working in fields like Biotech, Pharma, academia, government and other genomics orientated segments._
- You will act as a trusted commercial point of contact, working closely with the various specialists and support staff, to serve our customers, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty resulting in a contribution to the overall commercial success of the business._
- Competes for all existing, and develops new, sales opportunities within the territory to meet or exceed plan. (Specific focus on assigned products, which includes instrumentation and reagents for, Capillary Sequencers, Digital PCR and high end, real time qPCR)._
- The territory comprises the South West of England, including the cities like Oxford, Exeter, Plymouth, Southampton and Salisbury._

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the sale on assigned product portfolio (Instruments and associated Consumables) in a manner that positively reflects the Company image.
- Achieve sales targets, both quarterly and annually.
- Provide the company with relevant market information for the development of strategies on products. Impact directly upon the sales of products now and the future.
Ensures that all necessary resources needed are used efficiently and effectively in order to close sales - Maintain and develop customer relationship on the short and long term.
- Focus on the strategic development of key accounts by implementing and updating Account and Territory Plans (cross-functions).
- Gather, analyse and deliver information from the field to allow the company to develop strategies and products appropriate to the market including forecasting and lost order reporting and competitive information.
- Provide direct information on client needs to market and design together account specific promotion, seminars and exhibitions to support strategic goals on a tactical basis.
- Participate actively in local networks of service, support, customer services, marketing and finance to maximize area performance.
- Update and maintain the CRM (SalesForce) tool to ensure full transparency of customer information across the organisation.
- Work closely with Core Sales counterparts and Technical Sales Counterparts to drive incremental business.

- A highly motivated and confident individual who is passionate about our customer’s success
- Clear understanding of the academic and industrial markets, together with a proven track record of working with technology-based products in those markets
- Good market intelligence with respect to competitive products and vendors
- Ability to sell in a consultative manner such that customer need is discovered and addressed in an individualized clinical and data driven manner
- Ability to understand and articulate complex scientific literature and use extensive complex scientific data as a key factor in the sales process
- Sales experience, laboratory experience and account management are desirable.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to promote a technical solution as a value for money exercise
- Computer literacy, especially with regard to modern scientific user interfaces, document and presentation preparation and report writing
- Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken.
