**Your new role**

Key purposes of this role are;
- To provide a solution and develop processes to enable us to process academic group and field trip needs and requirements efficiently, including but not limited to; flight groups, rail groups, hotel groups, UK packages, overseas packages.
- Manage the provision and delivery of all academic field trip enquires.
- Work with our account management and sales teams to grow and develop the academic field trip business, increasing turnover and margin.
- Development relationships with key academic suppliers and service providers who can improve our offering and our reputation within the SUPC and LUPC frameworks

Due the nature of the some of the clients you will have to complete in-depth security checks

**Accountabilities**
- Work with the management team to investigate current process and procedure and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Lead and coordinate new requests for academic groups and field trips
- Constantly input ideas and suggestion to operational and administration processes in conjunction with the company and ISO standards.
- Work with management to create a process to identify event opportunities effectively so we are able to maximise the opportunity to offer and promote our full range of services.
- Work with Sales and Account Management to promote and increase academic business.
- Successfully deliver proposals within SLA and to exacting standards
- Promote the Brighter Events brand by attending industry events and utilising social media accounts, website, and marketing opportunities
- Achieve own KPI’s and targets.
- _Ensure all processes follow company standards and those laid out in the entire ISO procedures manuals_

**Essential**
- The ability to project management and control logistics when coordinating large group bookings and or multi component trips.
- Have experience working within Group Travel coordinating large groups
- Commercial hotel and contracting knowledge and the ability to negotiate
- Excellent knowledge of the academic sector
- Excellent customer service skills
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Ability to negotiate to achieve amicable solutions
- Knowledge of and understanding of commercial practices and booking financials
- Professional approach to matters under stressful, pressurised, and demanding environments
- Ability to think logically and consider all relevant aspects with strong analytical skills

GDS and group travel knowledge including rail would be advantageous.

**Essential**
