**Working for the Head Office of a chartered organisation who provide innovative solutions across a regulatory arena to provide generalist day-to-day HR support for the organisation, assist the management team with HR matters and develop and supportthe implementation and embedding of an EDI strategy throughout the organisation.**

**Responsibilities**:

- lead and manage the HR function, overseeing the provision of an effective HR service and ensuring good practice across the organisation
- lead on recruitment and selection processes; contracts of employment; staff induction; learning and development; talent and succession planning; performance appraisals, pay and benefits; managing change; administer payroll and payroll records
- continuously monitor and review HR policies, processes and HR documentation to ensure these reflect current employment law and practice
- responsible for employee relations, including the management of absence, disciplinary procedures and grievances
- accurately maintain all employee HR records in line with statutory requirements
- advise and support line managers in the handling of all employee relations matters and deal with general issues relating to employment law
- lead on Health and Safety matters; carry out risk assessments, review processes, training and safe systems of work for all activities and tasks being undertaken. Maintain correct and accurate data for all H&S activities
- ensure H&S policies and procedures are communicated, applied and enforced
- lead in the development and implementation of a clear EDI strategy and roadmap that promotes, supports and develops equality, diversity and inclusion across the organisation
- provide expert advice and support to ensure that EDI principles are integrated into plans, policies, and processes, and cascaded through to the delivery of projects and other activities

**Experience**:

- minimum of Level 5 CIPD qualified
- demonstrable understanding of the importance of effective HR management
- demonstrable knowledge of generic HR best practice and employment legislation
- demonstratable experience of designing and implementing EDI initiatives
- a proven EDI track record and be able to lead and embed cultural changes
- experience of developing and implementing strategies
- proven ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues as well as readiness to work pro-actively on your own initiative
