**About The Role**:
ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for a Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) to join the People team.

We work in a hybrid way, mostly remote with a requirement to travel into our Walsall office once a week to work with the team. With that in mind you will be located within a convenient commute to Walsall.

As the Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I), reporting to the Director of People and Talent. Your primary responsibility is to implement HML’s DE&I strategy in collaboration with the HML Executive and other key stakeholders. You will drive cultural transformation, promote diversity and ensure fair opportunity for all so that HomeServe is recognised both internally and externally, as a progressive, inclusive and welcoming place for all.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. DE&I Strategy Development: In partnership with the HML Executive and other key stakeholders, develop and execute a comprehensive DE&I strategy aligned with HML’s goals and objectives. Establish a roadmap for the delivery of DE&I initiatives and define key performance indicators (KPI’s).

2. Cultural Transformation: Drive a culture of inclusivity and diversity by identifying opportunities for improvement through analysis and interpretation of DE&I data. Build trust across the organisation so that employees are willing to provide their DE&I data and views on inclusion via channels such the Company’s engagement survey and other information gathering tools.

3. Awareness and Education: Coordinate delivery of DE&I upskilling programmes across the organisation to raise awareness of DE&I themes and the challenges faced by minorities groups. Develop educational resources to support employees to build their understanding and skills in DE&I.

4. People Processes: Advise on inclusive practices to attract and retain a diverse talent pool. Align HML’s commitment to DE&I into all People processes including recruitment, talent management and development, and engagement, by working alongside People team functional specialists.

5. Employee Networks: Re-establish successful ERG’s and/or Ambassador groups within HML to drive DE&I at grassroot level. Ensure these groups have influence and are empowered to drive change.

6. Data and Reporting: Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to track the progress of DE&I initiatives and report these to relevant stakeholders including the HML Executive and the HML Board. Ensure aspirational DE&I targets are embedded and monitored.

7. External Partnerships: Collaborate with external organisations, community groups and DE&I experts to stay informed about emerging trends and best practice in DE&I. Build strategic partnerships to enhance HML’s reputation and commitment to DE&I.

8. Compliance & Governance: Stay updated on relevant DE&I related legislation and industry standards to ensure the Company’s policies and practices are aligned with legal requirements and promote fairness and equity. Coordinate the DE&I Council and ensure this forum drives long term strategic change.

- Experience in a DE&I or related role with a track record of developing and implementing DE&I initiatives.
- Passionate about inclusion and can point to tangible successes in achieving organisation change
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong networking skills with the ability to build working relationships based on trust and collaboration
- Data driven mindset with the ability to leverage insights to drive effective decision-making
- Curious in nature and comfortable with ambiguity. Able to adapt to an evolving DE&I external landscape.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results within set timescales.
- Strong understanding of organisation dynamics, culture change and employee engagement.
