**The Role of Business Development Manager**

Make this role your own, a brand-new role to the Care business line.

Understand the target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and which market strategies can be used to attract clients.

Anchoring client visits from the stage of planning, identifying key participants and front ending the discussion.

Guide customers to the right solution by challenging their needs, creating new insights and engaging fully with our increasingly knowledgeable customers.

Create and maintain long term strategic relationships with the key customer stakeholders, becoming their Trusted Advisor.

Initiate and drive customer conversations and create customer development plans which meet their digital transformation requirements.

**About You (The Essentials)**

You will lead the opportunity identification, follow-up and closing of new business opportunities for Columbus in both the existing client portfolio and new business, ensuring year-on-year growth through meeting both your own and the business’s targets.
- Proven track record of software upselling and services sales achieving multimillion pounds targets.
- Experience selling service contracts and add-ons
- Leading and directing pre-sales resources to successful wins.
- Innovative deal construct and delivering customer presentations.
- Hands on experience in writing proposals and winning.
