Communications Officer

**I am currently recruiting for an Internal Communications and Engagement Officer**to work on behalf of a leading public sector organisation based in Wakefield.
**I am looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic communications officer to join thefast-paced corporate communications service.**
- Knowledge of internal communications strategies and tactics
- A good understanding of the role of internal communications and engagement in a large organisation.
- Strong skills and experience of writing and editing copy for a wide range of internal and external communication channels
- A proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects.
- Some event management experience
- Knowledge and experience of relevant software packages and content management systems (in particular Sharepoint).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and negotiate with people at all levels are essential, as well as being able to work on your own initiative when needed.
- This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of staff communications and engagement across the organisation.
- As part of the communications service you will help deliver the key priorities and build the organisations reputation with employees, residents and partners.
Although the post will involve some working from home, you must be happy going in to the office when required therefore must live within commuting distance of Wakefield centre.
**An hourly rate of £13.21 (PAYE) or £16.21 (umbrella) is on offer and the hours of work are full time, Monday to Friday.
