The aim of the role is to provide a member and branch service focus to projects to ensure they have optimum success in the areas they are implemented. The role will be to coordinate key tasks of projects, work with the branch management team to help them plan and implement new systems and support the branch to communicate new ways of working.

The job will involve covering of admin and clerical support for the branch as required
The job will involve conducting case work for the branch, supporting members in Industrial relations matters.
You will work closely with the branch management team to plan and deliver tasks to members within agreed timescales, mitigating risk and issues along the way.
You will be working in a busy branch environment, providing a reliable and confident service to the branch undertaking projects, ensuring your work is accurate, on time and clearly communicated.

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The merger provides an opportunity to reconfigure services in a way that provides the best healthcare services to the city and improves the quality of care and health outcomes that patients experience.

The Trust runs Aintree University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool University Dental Hospital and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

It serves a core population of around 630,000 people across Merseyside as well as providing a range of highly specialist services to a catchment area of more than two million people in the North West region and beyond.

Assist with the preparation of appropriate plans, documentation and procedures to assist in the running of the branch.

Attend meetings as necessary, to discuss project priorities, case work and report progress and resolve issues.

To assist members providing informed advice or support when appropriate, to act for members in a case work capacity, supporting with disciplinary, grievances, capabilities, organisational change and any other industrial relations casework as allocated by the Branch Management Team.

Work to ensure the branch achieves density mapping and a sound knowledge of membership density across the branch trusts.

Under the guidance of the manager, develop objectives and performance plans, ensuring that they align with the Team and Departmental objectives and adhere to relevant national standards and targets.

The post holder will work to achieve agreed branch objectives working within branch and unison rule.

Provide regular progress and update reports as appropriate, based on measurable deliverables and outputs.

Provide support for audits of their work-stream(s) and act on recommendations as appropriate.

Work within project management protocols, and contribute towards their on-going development.

Under the guidance of the manager work within branch strategies, policies and guidance working collaboratively to achieve the successful delivery of projects.
