**WHAT IS ON OFFER**

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for Commercial Project Coordinator to start an apprenticeship whilst working within our Business Planning & Analysis Department based at our Headquarters in Liverpool.

In this role, you will work within the Group Commercial function, to help AHK in its efforts to maintain profitable business growth. You will be handed responsibility from the get-go. Working alongside colleagues across the whole of the department and the wider organisation, you will be a key facilitator connecting commercial projects to people at the right times and ensuring that projects are executed properly in accordance with the required business outcomes.

Your responsibility will touch upon all major growth projects such as overseas company establishment, geographic expansions, service expansions, tender bids,and acquisitions/collaborations. You’ll cross-train and get exposure to all activities within the team during your first year in the role. As part of your apprenticeship, you will develop your technical, professional, personal, and leadership skills.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

**Essential Skills**
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Commercially aware with good business acumen
- Prior experience in a project management role would be desirable

- Hands on team player with the ability to work independently and on own initiative
- Highly collaborative, self-motivated, proactive and driven to succeed and make a difference
- Customer first attitude with the confidence to engage with people and tackle problems as and when they arise
- An international perspective and cultural sensitivity
- Very methodical with an excellent attention to detail
- Commercially aware with good business acumen

**Qualifications**
- 4 GCSE’s Grades A-C or 9-5 including Maths and English are essential
- A Level(s) with a technical bias are advantageous
