Liverpool, United Kingdom Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Full time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 5 Project coordinator to join our team at the North West Endoscopy Academy at the Royal Liverpool Hospital.

The Mersey School of Endoscopy is a National Endoscopy Training Centre and Hub Centre for the newly formed Northwest Endoscopy Academy. The development of regional Training Academies has been part of a national strategy to support the development of the endoscopy workforce and has been delivered through the Health Education England (HEE) National Cancer and Diagnostics programme.

The project coordinator will be lead on our Care Navigation project. The aim of the project is to identify the key barriers to attending appointments within our patient group through the use of a new AI DNA Predicter tool and to create patient pathways which will support these patients. We expect to see a reduction in cancellations and DNA's from patients and to have a developed toolkit which can be implement to support this goal long-term by the conclusion of the project.

This will entail research, planning, development and deliver of materials and new patient pathways which actively combat the leading healthcare inequalities within our patient group. As such, experience in working in a booking or clinical environment, ideally Endoscopy, will be essential.

The project coordinator will be responsible to the Project Manager and the Academy leadership team and work flexibly across all Academy sites.

Work closely with and provide project support to the Project Manager within agreed timescales, mitigating risk and issues along the way.

Work with the clinicians (doctors and nurses) in the Endoscopy Academy.

Work flexible whilst projects are running.

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The merger provides an opportunity to reconfigure services in a way that provides the best healthcare services to the city and improves the quality of care and health outcomes that patients experience.

The Trust runs Aintree University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool University Dental Hospital and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

It serves a core population of around 630,000 people across Merseyside as well as providing a range of highly specialist services to a catchment area of more than two million people in the North West region and beyond.
