**ABOUT US**

Scottish Vet Referrals is a dedicated veterinary referral centre located in the beautiful surroundings of the Inverness Campus.

We currently provide acupuncture, cardiorespiratory, CT scanning, dermatology, eye testing, internal medicine and oncology, ophthalmology and orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery services; delivering dedicated expertise with state of the art specialist equipment in a custom-designed facility.

For the future, our desire is to augment our team with veterinary surgeons who are experts in other areas of veterinary medicine. The facility has been designed to accommodate this expansion in service and expertise.

**RESPONSIBILITY**

Reporting to the Office Manager, you will act as first point of contact for our dual client base of referring veterinary practices and pet owners.

**MAIN DUTIES**

1. Answering the phone and registering new clients

3. Ensure timely and effective communication with all colleagues working within SVR regarding patient care, referrals and general enquiries

4. Assist the office manager with administrative duties

5. Covering reception when required

6. Booking in client appointments and follow up consultations

7. Ensuring patient files have all appropriate history and reports

8. Constructing referral reports for referring veterinary practices

9. Processing insurance claims

**ADDITIONAL DUTIES**

1. Filing and scanning of documents

2. Helping with the cleaning of the practice

**SPECIAL SKILLS**
- Excellent customer service skills and be a strong communicator, who is used to working in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise your workload with ease and work unsupervised with confidence - keeping a cool head is a must.
- Flexibility to cover extra hours if required.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 18.5 per week

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour
