**Purpose of the role**:
Responsible for the coordination and monitoring of business compliance activities, ensuring the Company complies with its outside legal/regulatory requirements and internal policies.

**Key Accountabilities - Health & Safety, Quality & Environment**

To plan & document an effective, risk-based audit process so that compliance in all areas of the business can be always demonstrated to the required standard, both internally and externally.

To identify areas for improvement through periodical data collection, analysis and report on the management system and business performance so that continuous improvement opportunities can be identified and actioned.

To prepare for, and deliver evidence of conformance, in external third-party audits or inspections, so that customer pre-qualification requirements, performance monitoring or legal obligations are met.

To schedule and facilitate the E- learning training system for manufacturing operations, so that production needs and compliance obligations are met.

To escalate to the SHEQ manager any legal and other obligations where non-compliance has been identified but not actioned, so obligations are met within the appropriate timescales.

To create and present management reports on the safety, health, environmental and quality management systems so that the suitability of the systems status and opportunity for improvement recommendations can be reviewed and approved by the management team.

To participate in continuous improvement activities and training for the company so that all areas can deliver measured improvement.

To evaluate the Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental performance of our subcontractors and suppliers so that statutory and Company requirements are met and products and services are right first time.

**Essential competencies required**:

- Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. - Good interpersonal skills and organisational skills. - Good (English) verbal and written communication skills. - The ability to work independently and proactively as well as part of a team. - The ability to quickly interpret standards and guidance and assess company conformity. - The ability to think logically and methodically. - The ability to make decisions based on risk, context and customer expectation. - Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise based on customer demand and business risk.

**Desirable competencies**:

- Recognised qualification in H&S and/or Environmental compliance or quality improvement techniques. - Previously actively participated in continuous improvement initiatives. - An understanding of Lean principles and Continuous Improvement Methodology. - Professional knowledge of UK business compliance e.g. GDPR
