**Overview**:
To provide project support to improvement and transformation programmes delivered across the local area, working alongside partners in education, health and care and key stakeholders including voluntary sector and parent/carer representatives. The post will undertake specific tasks to enable actions to be achieved, leading to improved outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Significant partnership working and organisational skills will be required.

Do you want an opportunity to develop your project management skills, through supporting the improvement activity within Buckinghamshire Written Statement of Action.

“As a project support officer, my responsibilities cantered on the development and revision of the Written Statement of Action (WSoA) and the provision of monthly highlight reports. I facilitated the Improvements Plans spreadsheets to update relevant service management and action leads on specific aspects. Additionally, I collected data from external services to demonstrate progress against the WSoA objectives while exploring innovative techniques to record evidence of progress towards objectives and actions”. The overarching aim of the Children’s Services directorate is “to build a better future for all children and young people in Buckinghamshire so that they realise their potential, whatever their starting point is.”

This post will report directly into the SEND Improvement programme lead, within the Education Improvement and transformation service. This service which within the Education Directorate of Childrens Services. This service is also responsible for:

- The SEND improvement programme, and delivery against the WSOA as well as Quality Assurance activity and a particular focus on Preparation for Adulthood.
- SEND Resolutions, including tribunals, complaints and local resolutions
- Project Teams managing specific projects and/or aspects of improvement activity across the Education Directorate, including partners where appropriate
- Commissioning of education activity and SEND placements
- SEND IAS
