**Project Worker**

We are looking for an experienced Project Worker to join our team in providing a safe place in which vulnerable young people can live happily and thrive.

To help previously homeless or vulnerably housed 18-25-year-olds learn to live independently. As part of a team, you will help achieve this by meeting residents weekly as their key worker, and by delivering support programmes and activities.

**Position**:Project Worker - Maternity Cover

**Location**:Aylesbury

**Salary**: £23,287 per annum

**Contract**: 6 + Months

**Hours**: Flexible working (minimum 32 hours, maximum 37.5 per week) 2-week rolling rota including weekends and evenings until 10 pm

**About the role**:
You will support the Project Manager and your colleagues in providing a safe place in which vulnerable young people can live happily and thrive. To deliver a programme of support to vulnerable young people aimed at preparing them for successful independentliving.

**Responsibilities are**:

- To meet your caseload of 3-4 residents individually on a weekly basis
- To deliver group activities that will promote independent living skills
- To develop and maintain good relationships with external agencies and the local community
- To work on a rota basis to help provide wraparound support to residents on an almost 24/7 basis. (This role does not have any sleep-in/overnight requirement)
- To ensure health and safety requirements are met, and to share in the cleaning of the project

**About you**:
We are looking for a Project Worker with a positive attitude and a proactive and flexible approach to your work.

**Other key skills and experience required for the role include**:

- Experience in supporting vulnerable clients with complex issues and dealing with occasional resistance
- A positive attitude with a proactive and flexible approach to your work
- Vocational qualification NVQ level 3 or equivalent or willingness to achieve this
- A strong commitment to the promotion of equality and diversity
- A good understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, and confidentiality
- Confident lone working and working as part of a team
- Able to assess risk and ensure a safe and appropriate environment
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of the benefit system
