**Overview**:
This is an exciting opportunity to work within Buckinghamshire Council’s Integrated Commissioning Service in Prevention in the Community team.

As a Commissioning Support Officer, you will be part of a team that supports purchasing and monitoring the quality of Health and Social care services for adults and children in Buckinghamshire. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure value for money and that people's assessed individual needs are met.

**About us**:
Buckinghamshire was one of the first 8 areas in England to establish an Integrated Care System. Introduced in 2017, Integrated Care Systems involve NHS organisations working in partnership with Local Authorities and other organisations to take collective responsibility for managing resources, delivering NHS standards, and improving the health and wellbeing of local residents.

In the summer of 2018 Buckinghamshire Council (formerly BCC) and the Buckinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group restructured their commissioning functions to set up a new, all age Integrated Commissioning Service, supporting the Integrated Care System’s ethos to deliver whole population outcomes by aligning strategic commissioning activities across health, public health, and social care.

There are 8 commissioning teams within the Service. Each team is led by a Specialist Commissioning Manager and works across the whole commissioning cycle to support service improvement, value for money, and improved resident and service user outcomes.

**About the role**:
The all age prevention team commissions services to reduce the chance of people of all ages requiring health or social care support. This might be needing support in the future and to reduce the level of support they might need. We work with a range of partners who include public, private and voluntary sector. Our role is to develop and commission and monitor effective responses to the changing needs of people in Buckinghamshire.

**Services we commission include**:

- Healthy Child Programme (0-19 years) Specialist Public Health Nursing Service
- Children’s Integrated Therapies Service
- Community based child health services, often for children with long term conditions
- Community Prevention Services

**Any-Desk**:
As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements*.

You will have a calm and positive approach to your work, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks. You will be highly organised and a clear communicator.
