To provide confidential, efficient, and timely administrative support to staff and managers in the Integrated SEND Service as required.

**This is a fixed term contract until August 2024**

**About us**:
In April 2020 Buckinghamshire Council became the UK’s newest council and the residents of Buckinghamshire will be served by a single, unitary council.

Buckinghamshire is an ambitious, rapidly growing county, and our economy is one of the strongest in the country. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty and ranks as one of the top rural areas to live in the UK and yet it is incredibly well connected
- only an hour from London on the train. The county has a rich history and heritage and is the birthplace of the international Paralympic movement.

We are looking for motivated, ambitious and inspiring people to join us on our journey. Not only will you be an integral part of the unique and exciting transition through the unitary process, you will also be entitled to a range of different benefits to make sure you are happy both at work and at home.

**About the role**:
This is a very focus driven role, as we are handling confidential information. There are deadlines to meet and plans that we need to send out to parents, schools and professionals involved. I find it interesting to work alongside different professionals and to learn new things around SEN processes. The aims are to make sure deadlines have been met when issuing the plans and to have good communication with everyone you work with. The day to day tasks range from different things, as we follow a 20 week process from start to finish of an EHCP.

“This is a great team to work for everyone is incredibly supportive of each other.”** **- Georgia Quigley, iSEND Support Co-ordinator

**About you**:
The main responsibilities can be found on the JD, which is mainly supporting EHC Coordinators in relation to the statutory processes. Having a business support background would be very helpful as this will help you excel in the role. As we are use Microsoft word/excel and other packages every day.

**Other information**:
**Closing date**:11th June

**Interviews**:to be held remotely on week commencing 19th June.

**Buckinghamshire Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk.**

**Our values**:
We have a set of values, which our employees have chosen, that represent what we are - **Proud, Ambitious, Collaborative and Trustworthy.**

By joining Buckinghamshire Council, you can expect:

- a fair and inclusive culture
- the chance to really make a difference to those around you
- health and well-being initiatives including an Employee Assistance Programme, Mental Health First Aiders and mindfulness workshops
- a unified voice through our Employee Representative Group
- ongoing support, and the opportunity to develop and progress in your career with us
- opportunities to take part in fun activities such as fundraising and social events

**About the Business Unit**:
The iSEND Support Officer will work within the SEN team for the council. We work very closely with Educational Psychology, Specialist Teacher Service and EHC Coordinators as an integrated team. We follow the BC aims to work together strongly and to deliver timely results. We expect your values and behaviours to reflect the values of the organisation.

**We recognise and reward you**:
