As our Head of New Business, you'll lead our New Business team to success, delivering our strategic objective of income growth in line with our five-year high-level plan.

You’ll develop and deliver a new business partnerships strategy that will drive growth and significantly increase income, supporting a team to develop long-term strategic and transformative relationships, sponsorship, cause related marketing, charity of the year and pro bono opportunities which meet British Heart Foundation's (BHF’s) financial and core strategic aims to help deliver a balanced partnership portfolio.

You'll be an active member of our Marketing, Fundraising and Engagement Directorate responsible for the delivery of the BHF's organisational priorities and our directorate and Inspiring Action strategy ambitions.

**Working arrangements**

This role is offered as 12-month fixed term contract, covering family leave. Start date is as soon as possible.

This is a dual location role, with your working time split between your Home and approximately one day per week in our London Office. This will allow us to unlock our best work for our cause, blending the best of home and office working.

**About you**

With extensive experience of securing new business (preferably within a fundraising environment), you will be responsible for leading and driving high performance from a team of new business and sponsorship specialists.

You'll have excellent communication and influencing skills, able to work with all levels of the organisation, and will be a team player with a collaborative and supportive management style.

You'll also have experience of devising and delivering strategy, with an understanding of the benefits of effective partnership working and the legal framework in which charities operate.
