**The role**:
**6 Month Fixed Term Contract**
The Sales & Purchase Ledger Assistant is the bridge between the go-live date of the Network Invoicing Project and the time when the Sales & Purchase Ledger transactions associated with it can be automated.
This role on a 6 month fixed term contract and will be responsible for entering the invoices received from these garages into our Finance system and paying them as well as invoicing the correct amounts for the work done to Aviva. One invoice must be entered into Aviva’s invoicing portal, a matching invoice must be entered into Solus’s Finance system.
The position will require strong admin skills to keep track of all invoices and queries and as well as a good eye for detail to ensure accuracy when keying data
**Responsibilities**:
- Receive invoices from the Vizion Network and transfer them into Solus’s accounting system using Access Capture technology
- Organise weekly payment runs to ensure that the non-Solus garages are paid on time
- Raise invoices to Aviva using their invoicing portal
- Raise matching invoices on Solus’s accounting system
- Deal with queries from garages and colleagues within Solus
- Carry out checks and controls as necessary to ensure the smooth-running of the system
- Work will be mostly day to day, with consideration for holiday cover, potential backlogs etc
- Keep on top of the workflow and ensure that all invoices are processed in a timely manner
Qualifications:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong relationship building and senior stakeholder management ability (e.g., able to translate and tailor complex or technical information to meet the appropriate audience).
- Good understanding of ledger work within accounts
- Good eye for details, high level of accuracy required for transaction processing
- Broad understanding of UKGI and Solus business (not limited to repair (personal & commercial), engineering, total loss, etc) - desirable.
