Reception Co-ordinator

The post holder will take responsibility of the co-ordination and smooth running of the reception area in a professional and courteous manner ensuring that the reception areas are fully operational during published opening times, providing excellent customer service to service users and support the clinical and management teams in the smooth running of the department.
Provide a professional welcome to patients, carers, staff and visitors and signpost them to the relevant departments
To ensure that patients are treated with dignity and respect and that personal information is conveyed with tact and diplomacy
To contribute to the improvement of the ‘patient experience’
To ensure that on arrival patients’ details are checked and updated ensuring ethnic monitoring information is recorded
Ensure patients are booked in for walk-in appointments accurately and in a timely manner
Ensure that patient appointments are booked appropriately according to their urgency and within clinic/speciality rules and standards
