The practice is offering a varied role to support the learning and development of its Medical Receptionist Apprentice. You will deal with telephone calls to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others and taking messages accurately and within a timely manner.

Shifts will be either: 7.45am - 4.15pm, 10.00am - 6.30pm, 9.00am - 5.00pm
Total hours per week: 37.5 hours a week
**Expected duration**
24 Months
**What will the apprentice be doing?**
- Opening and closing of building
- Care Navigation of patients
- Provide front of house service to patients using SystmOne to book appointments.
- The opening and distribution of internal and external post, requests for prescriptions; dealing with queries
- Contacting patients to arrange appointments
- To record administration events within patient records
- Handling specimens and ensuring the appropriate forms have been completed accurately
- Processing medication requests
- To arrange ambulances and patient transport as required
- Other duties as required
**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**
- The successful apprentice will be enrolled on the Business Administrator Apprenticeship Level 3 with PMA Ltd
- The apprenticeship will be a work-based apprenticeship and the learner does not attend college but completes the apprenticeship whilst in the workplace
- Functional Skills in English and maths if required
- Systemone Training
- Customer Service Training
- All mandatory NHS modules
