Apprentice Pharmacy Support Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to be an Apprentice Pharmacy Support Worker within the Pharmacy Department of Scunthorpe General Hospital.
The Pharmacy Department are continually moving our services forward. We are actively using skill mix and role development to enhance job content and quality at all levels of the department.
The apprentice will be employed for a 16 month period and during this time will participate in a comprehensive training programme to deliver knowledge, skills and competence to undertake the Pharmacy Service Assistant course.
The training programme will introduce the apprentice to most areas within the Pharmacy Department resulting in the apprentice being able to carry out the principle duties of a Pharmacy Support Worker.
Examples of area's to train in would be Receipt and Distribution of medicines, Dispensing of prescriptions, ward stock topping up and other house keeping duties.
