**About the role**:
It's an exciting time to join our People Services team here at AXA, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes. To help us build our Change capability, accelerate the delivery of our strategic programmes and drive the adoption of unified Agile ways of working and more effective change delivery across UK&I we're looking for a talented Employee Relations Advisor 12 month fixed term contract to join our growing friendly and dedicated People Services team in Bolton.
Our ambition is to transform our People System to simplify the way we work, providing exceptional levels of service to all our customers. Our People Services team support all parts of the employee lifecycle so your days will be varied from answering a wide range of employee relations queries. Reporting into our People Services Employee Relations Manager, you will triage our customers to the right solution that supports them - whether that is giving advice over the phone, managing cases through our case management system in ASK HR, or supporting managers on teams calls. The tasks that sit within our Employee Relations team are varied ranging from providing advice on occupational health, conduct cases, short & tong term absence, flexible working, management of contractors, new starter occupational health, occupational health/work placed assessments and performance improvement.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the Bolton office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. This is a hybrid working role which involves 2 days a week in our Parklands, Bolton office and 3 days at home. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, such as part-time or condensed hours, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.
**Training**:
You'll receive a comprehensive onsite induction and full training, to set you up for success in your new role with lots of support along the way. **What you'll be doing**:
- Manage a portfolio of customer cases, working within policy, service level agreements and process guidelines
- Ensure issues are escalated as appropriate to leaders, People Services and the business accordingly
- Prioritise the workloads for the team to ensure we have a coordinated approach
- Maintain the quality of the data in our people systems and accurately file and maintain documents on our portal
- Proactive role in making People Services an inclusive place to work, creating an environment where customer service drives continual improvement
- Manage data integrity and ensure standards for audit requirements are delivered that meet legal and business requirements
- Support the maintenance and upkeep of Standard Operating Procedure documentation kept up to date in line with the agreed review procedure
- Ad hoc projects remain compliant with relevant legislation and service is accurate and on time
- Work with 3rd party suppliers ASK HR, Peoplesoft to ensure we have good working relationships and solid reporting in place
**About you**:

**Essential**
- Experience of working in an HR Shared Services team providing ER advice at Tier 1 level
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise cases
- Confident in answering calls and responding to customers
- Understands and demonstrates importance of Data Protection and its associated risks
- Computer literate with a good understanding of IT tools and Microsoft packages, demonstrating accuracy and speed when updating relevant HR systems
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate risk awareness and impacts of risk
- Stakeholder Management experience
**Desirable**
- CIPD qualification
- Use of Case Management Systems
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
