**About the role**:
You will organise, support, monitor and assess professional practice in work experience training placements for specified groups of students on full time study programmes within the Care, Health and Early Years Department.

You will have designated classroom time and responsibility to deliver and assess aspects of the early years programmes to support students’ timely achievement**.**

**Key responsibilities of the Professional Practice Assessor role**

Overall responsibility for an agreed caseload of learners to provide high quality training and assessment to support learners to achieve their qualification in a timely manner.

Liaise with course leaders and students within the Department to identify a suitable range of placements.

Contact training placements promoting the courses and the needs of the students for experience in the workplace, acting as an ‘Ambassador’ for Cambridge Regional College.

Act as main point of contact for employers and learners, creating positive relationships with employers to support in the training and development of learners and provide feedback on progress as required.

Carry out assessment activities in the required locations. Plan, record and schedule assessments and ensure fair access to equality of opportunity in assessment for all learners and provide feedback to the students on progress against the skills criteria of their qualification and/or related aspects of their programme

A self-motivated, creative and flexible individual with good interpersonal, administrative and communication skills

The ideal applicant will be an experienced and competent early years practitioner, organised and able to meet deadlines showing attention to detail and have the ability to cultivate good working relationships with colleagues, students and employers

Applicants should hold a L3 qualification in Early Years, have good IT skills and current occupational competency which is essential to this role. An Assessor qualification is preferred but not essential as full training can be given.
