Job Title: Trainer and Assessor in Brickwork

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Trainer and Assessor to join our team in the Brickwork department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment to our learners, ensuring they achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

    • Manage, assess, and support a caseload of apprentices working towards their qualifications in the workplace.
    • Coordinate in-college and on-site activities to ensure a smooth learning journey for each apprentice.
    • Work collaboratively with other staff to deliver a comprehensive apprenticeship programme.
    • Support employers and supervisors in providing opportunities for apprentices to gain the required skills and qualifications.
    • Guide apprentices, employers, and supervisors on using the e-portfolio system effectively.
    • Conduct formal and informal assessments in accordance with external examining body requirements and internal college procedures.
    • Contribute to curriculum development and ensure best practices align with industry trends.
    • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, employers, and other education providers.
    • Actively promote the apprenticeship program and generate new business for the college.

Qualifications and Salary:

  • Unqualified:
    • Salary: £29,400 - £32,095 per annum
    • Additional Annual MRA: £2,000 per annum
  • Qualified (Level 3 TAQA or equivalent):
    • Salary: £31,167 - £34,017 per annum
    • Additional Annual MRA: £4,000 per annum
  • Qualified (Level 4 TAQA or equivalent):
    • Salary: £33,044 - £36,059 per annum
    • Additional Annual MRA: £4,000 per annum

Requirements:

    • A Level 3 or 4 qualification in Brickwork or a relevant vocational area.
    • Experience delivering and assessing apprenticeship standards.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • The ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively.
    • A commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered education.
    • A passion for the construction industry and a desire to share your knowledge.
