The University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) delivers high quality and distinctive educational programmes for adult learners, predominantly studying on a part-time basis, for either personal enrichment or professional development. ICE aims to ensure that the expertise and resources of the University of Cambridge are made available to all students, irrespective of their previous educational achievements.
We wish to appoint an Academic Centre Coordinator to work within one of ICE's ICE's International Summer Programmes and Weekend Courses team, supporting immediate colleagues, Academic Directors, Panel Tutors, students and applicants and managing the administration and development of portfolio of that Centre. Some flexibility will be required during peak times (eg Summer Programme delivery dates, Weekend Courses, peak recruitment periods, open days or for key meetings/conferences).
The Academic Centre Coordinator focus is effective co-ordination of the activity of the Centre, in order to ensure optimum conditions for promotion, delivery and enrolment of that Centre's award and non-award-bearing provision.
The Academic Centre Coordinator has responsibility for all programme-related administration to ensure the smooth running, continuous improvement and sustainability of programmes within the portfolio. The Academic Centre Coordinator remit includes co-ordinating programme strategy, planning, enrolment and quality assurance processes, working closely with the Heads of Academic Centre Administration, Academic and Course Directors, tutors, students, other parts of the Institute and the wider University, and the general public.
You will have excellent organisational, written and oral communication skills and the ability to develop collaborative working relationships. The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines is essential. Experience of line managing or supervising is desirable but not essential.
The University has a responsibility to ensure that all employees are eligible to live and work in the UK.
