Join Our Team as a Programme Coordinator for Community Outreach

We are looking for a skilled Programme Coordinator for Community Outreach to join our team at Cambridge Science Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering community programmes that increase access to our educational offerings.

The successful candidate will have experience in community development, education, and outreach, particularly with underrepresented groups. You will also have excellent communication skills, the ability to build trust-based relationships, and the capacity to engage diverse audiences.

The estimated salary for this position is £30,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a contributory pension scheme, mental health support, and 25 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver community programmes that increase access to our educational offerings.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local community leaders and organisations.
  • Track the impact of community programmes, gathering feedback and adjusting strategies to improve engagement and outcomes continually.
  • Maintain regular contact with community stakeholders, building trust and ensuring effective two-way communication.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in community development, education, or outreach, particularly with underrepresented groups.
  • Understanding of the voluntary sector.
  • Experience in supporting or organising events.
  • Project management and delivery experience.
