The Role
We are looking for an excellent and enthusiastic researcher to undertake research and project management activities to support scoping activities concerning the creation of a Social Entrepreneurship Hub.
This role will involve scoping out appropriate configurational activities and identifying the regional landscape and potential co-collaborators.
This is a full time, fixed term post tenable for 6 months.
We appreciate that, for some people, a standard, full-time contract may not be ideal. So, we are very happy to consider flexible options, such as job-sharing, for this position.

Key Accountabilities
Support the planning and undertaking of desk-based market research and analysis
Co-ordinate and undertake interviews with stakeholders within and outside Newcastle University
Undertake appropriate empirical, practice and policy analyses
Support the writing up of project reports and presentations in a variety of forms
Manage and liaise with the project PI and Social Entrepreneurship Hub working group
Carry out other duties, commensurate with the grade of the post, as requested by the project
The Person (Essential)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to liaise and ‘connect’ with colleagues across the institution and external stakeholders
Excellent organisational skills
Experience of writing reports
Training in social science research methods/techniques and experience of employing them in practice
Ability to prepare and deliver written and oral presentations
Excellent IT, web and software (e.g. PowerPoint) skills
Ability to work independently, accurately and with initiative to set priorities
Ability to work as part of a team and liaise effectively with relevant partners
Desirable
Knowledge of the academic literature on (social) entrepreneurship
**Qualifications**:
Possess a degree in a discipline related to business and management
