An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Officer within Integrated Children’s Services, Sevenoaks North, Tonbridge & Malling Childrens Social Work Team. The post is part time (22.5 hrs pw - 3 days), based at Worrall House, West Malling with some home working. If you would like to be part of a busy team helping to support the children and families of Kent, then this could be the position for you.
Business Support Officers play a vital role in supporting front line teams and practitioners across Childrens Social Work, Youth Justice, Adoption & Fostering, and School Attendance & Inclusion. The Business Support Service provides professional administrative support across Integrated Childrens Services and we aim to;

- A starting salary of £22,595 pro rata with annual performance related pay increases
- Option to enrol in the Local Government Pension scheme with employer matched contributions
- 27 days paid annual leave per year pro rata (rising to 29 after 5 years service) + bank holidays + a concessionary day

Working within a confidential environment you will have the ability to take a high standard of meeting minutes. You will have strong administrative and IT skills and the ability to collate and manage data. You will use your initiative to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines in a highly demanding environment. You will need to have the confidence and ability to deal with a variety of multi-disciplinary professionals on a range of matters and the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information. You should enjoy working as part of an effective team but also work independently to a high standard whilst working remotely and willingness to travel across the County, to service delivery points, meetings and training when required in a timely manner.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
