We are a large, innovative GP Practice, based in Worthing, West Sussex. We are looking to recruit a Clinical Support Administrator to join our friendly, hardworking Clinical Support team, working at our branch site based in Heene Road.

We are a friendly and approachable team. The Practice is highly supportive and the team have a dedicated line manager, who can offer additional support and guidance.

We currently have a vacancy for one part to full time position, to work 30 - 37 hours per week (hours to be confirmed at interview)

Main duties of the job

Telephoning patients who are due for their chronic disease reviews, bloods tests and immunisations, and booking these patients in for these appointments.

Overseeing the cervical screening administration work, including inviting patients in for their cervical screening appointments, regularly monitoring the records for patient on the smear administration system and actioning outcomes appropriately and updating patient records when results are received.

Processing patients’ responses to the Practice appropriately and efficiently e.g. booking patients in for appointments, informing a clinician, filing information etc.

Participating in the collection of Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF) data to help ensure 100% achievement of the clinical QOF by call/recall systems and regular liaison with clinical staff.

Monitoring the Practice’s Clinical Support Team daily recall list and actioning any tasks from the list including; booking patients in for their reviews and/or blood tests, sending appropriate paperwork to patients, and liaising with patients to pass on messages from the Chronic Disease Management Nursing Team etc.

Dealing with any patient queries in a polite and professional manner.

Provide annual leave/sickness cover for ordering the vaccination supply for the Practice.

**Job Description for a Clinical Support Administrator**

**TITLE OF POST: CLINICAL SUPPORT ADMINISTRATOR**

**JOB SUMMARY**:
To work with the Clinical Support Team to actively telephone all patients who are due for their chronic disease reviews and immunisations based on the practice’s call/recall system, and to appropriately book these patients in for their appointments following the correct protocols.

To have a clear understanding of how the Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF) and Locally Commissioned Services (LCSs) are set up, and of the requirements needed in order to achieve the goals within these areas. Full training on these will be provided.

**WORKING RELATIONSHIPS**:
To work closely with the entire Practice Team as applicable for each area of responsibility.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Telephoning patients who are due for their chronic disease reviews (specifically respiratory reviews), blood tests and immunisations, and booking these patients in for these appointments, and supporting the delivery of these services in all appropriate ways.
