**Head of People - 14 Month fixed term contract - Canary Wharf, London**

**Hours**: 40 per week, 08.30am - 17.30pm Monday to Friday

This role is fast-paced, supporting all UK and Ireland group companies as well as Hong Kong. To be successful, you must enjoy being hands-on and involved in the detail of both operational and strategic delivery. A significant focus for the role is organisational design and supporting the group businesses in delivering workforce planning tailored for each business. You need to be flexible, adaptable and demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management skills.

You will be responsible for managing a team of eight across strategic and operational delivery, as well as talent acquisition. You will act as a champion for the company culture and will support the company directors and management teams, advising on all people-related matters across the employee lifecycle including talent management, performance and reward, employee relations, organisational design, and HR service and delivery.

As well as being responsible for the overall delivery of the operational and strategic People Plan, your key responsibilities will include:

- Talent management: Oversee talent acquisition activities across the group companies, review & evaluation of exit trends to identify patterns and to partner with the business to identify top talent and manage initiatives to support talent mobilisation.
- Performance & reward: Review and benchmark the Company’s compensation and benefits offerings, manage the group companies annual pay and performance review processes and partner with senior management to define and identify career paths for employees.
- Employee relations: Managing and mitigating commercial and reputational risk throughout the business by providing pragmatic advice and management on employment relations issues covering advisory and litigation, direct management and leadership of settlement agreements, provide advice on all aspects of employment law and oversee investigations.
- Organisational design: Ongoing management of the Group’s grade structure and integration with other business processes, lead and advise on all people elements of any change projects and any redesign.
- HR Service & delivery: Deliver workflow efficiencies and team governance through continuous monitoring and evaluation of our people processes, management of policy design and development, ensure compliance with regulatory reporting, producing regular senior management reports and manage the implementation of a HR system into Ireland.

**Skills & experience**
- Commercial awareness to anticipate change and drive strategic solutions.
- Significant experience working in fast-paced, agile and changing environment.
- Experience in leading high-performance teams and driving innovative solutions.
- Demonstrable project and change management skills delivery multiple projects in parallel.
- Ability to translate business strategy and goals into optimal HR processes that are scalable, simple and adaptable to changing business needs.
- Able to influence senior leaders, change thinking, gain acceptance and drive change.
- Excellent understanding of HR practices, procedures and strong technical skills, particularly in relation to employment law and policy development.
- CIPD level 7 or equivalent
