Events Administrator

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Administrator to join their office in Inverness on a part time basis for approximately 20 hours per week. The pattern of working hours will be as flexible as possible to suit and this is a temporary post for approximately 6 months.
Purpose:
- The purpose of the role is to provide comprehensive administrative support to the events team in relation to a number of events in 2023 and duties include:
- Liaising with a range of internal and external contacts involved in the preparation and execution of a number of high profile events.
- Dealing with general enquiries.
- Processing invoices for payment.
- Diary management and assisting with event planning.
- Updating and maintaining an accurate database of contacts for suppliers, clients etc.
- Liaising with external contractors working on site.
- Carrying out show rounds of the event venue.
- Assisting with the preparation and forwarding of event literature and marketing material.
- General ad hoc administration tasks as require.
**Person specification**
- This is a varied and interesting role in an ever changing environment so the need to be adaptable and undertake a wide range of tasks is crucial.
- Strong administrative and IT skills including MS Office.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with a range of contacts in a polite and professional manner.
- Well organised.
- Previous invoicing experience is preferred (not essential).
- Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
