Liquorpond Street Practice is based in Boston in Lincolnshire.
We aspire to offer exceptional care to our 11,000 patients and are innovative in our approach to developing new teams and pathways to ever improve how general practice is delivered. We have a friendly and supportive team of more than 30 staff, with GP’s, Clinical Pharmacist, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Mental Health counsellors and our range of administrative staff.
The position is unique in that you will be based at Venture House in Boston, but you will be dealing with patients from Liquorpond Street Practice.
We are seeking 2 experienced Receptionists, 2 part time postions to provide excellent customer service and project a professional image for the Surgery. To provide accurate, efficient and punctual medical administration support to Partners, GPs, Registrars and Practice Nurses on a permanent basis. This position is not patient facing; you will be dealing with calls and administration work.
Job responsibilities:
- Answering the telephone and assisting with queries as required.
- To provide a high-quality administration service to the practice and its patients.
- Dealing with patient queries by phone.
- Recording of patient blood pressure recordings
- Provide excellent customer service
- Update patient records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Keep GPs informed of updates as necessary.
- Liaising with healthcare professionals, staff members, patients, solicitors and other external organisations to assist with the resolution and administration of queries.
- Updating and completing tasks and scan documents as needed

Education/Experience:
- Proven administration experience in a GP/NHS department environment would be highly desirable.
- Educated to high standard of GCSE in Maths, English language
- Strong IT skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of SystmOne is desirable.
- To have tact and diplomacy in direct and indirect emotional circumstances
- To possess excellent, calming and professional telephone manner
- Knowledge of the NHS an advantage
- Able to get on with others and be a team-player in a sometimes, pressurised and time-sensitive environment
